COPYWRITING

Give me your brand

I want to play with it.

A senior copywriter with nearly a decade’s experience in branding and content, I started out as a junior copywriter for Ted Baker (that fancy fashion brand that isn’t shy of a bold print or two), an employer who firmly believed in throwing their juniors in at the deep end. I was put to work on big campaign straplines, window concepts, print packaging copy, product copy, brochure copy and everything in between. I loved it, even if I didn’t know what the hell I was doing half the time.

Four years later, I had undeniably itchy feet which I decided to scratch by launching my freelance career and, incidentally, my own business.

Writing about yourself can strike fear into the heart of even the most confident of entrepreneurs, which is why they fire up the laptop and email someone like me. I work closely with them to nail some beautiful copy for their website, brochures and mission statements that’ll help you attract the clients you’ve been daydreaming about.

Copy Kat Creative was born in January 2015 and enjoys sexy new clients with every passing year.

STUFF I CAN DO REALLY WELL

r

BTW, I am NOT SO GREAT AT at

Financial copywriting. Or anything that requires major levels of data input. It’s not that I can’t do it, it’s that I’d rather gouge my eyes out with rusty forks than do it. I was once hired by a very prominent high street bank for a month’s copywriting and lasted precisely two hours before I had to politely make my excuses and extricate myself from the contract. Never again.

Blogging

I’ve sharpened my pen on the likes of…

…Lipsy, MOO, FitFlop, BOSH!, Newby Teas, Wonderbly, Abel & Cole and notonthehighstreet.com to name a few of my favourites. These well-known brands have hired me for everything from big campaign work to blogging and website copy.

Amidst the heavy-hitters, I’ve also worked with lots of lovely independent folks. Through a brilliant collaboration with Melissa Love of The Design Space, I work alongside photographers, make-up artists and fellow creatives to help them bring their websites to life.

(*to see if the proof, is indeed, in the pudding.)
